The Marketing Grotto – Free Marketing Support For Charities

Welcome to The Marketing Grotto

What’s your wish this Christmas? Free marketing support for your charity?

‘Tis the season of good will, and here at The Marketing Den we’re rallying the marketing community to give charities the gift of ‘time’ this Christmas.

We want to support charities to create impactful marketing. So we’re asking charities ‘What marketing support do you need most in 2024?’

We’re relying on generous volunteers from the marketing community to give a small amount of time to help us to grant these wishes.

The outcome? Free marketing support for charities from generous marketing experts. Read on to find out how you can get involved…

Free Marketing Support for Charities

If you are a charity and you could do with a little extra support with your marketing activities, please complete the ‘Wish List’ form, telling us who you are, how to contact you, and what you’d like help with.

We’ll do our best to match you with an expert who’s willing to give a little of their time to charity. Once we’ve found you a match, we’ll be in touch to introduce you to your expert, and will then leave you both to agree a suitable time to ‘cash in’ your gift at some point in 2024.

Why should you get involved?

“The Marketing Grotto provides invaluable expertise to help charity leaders trying their best to be experts of all disciplines”

If there’s some expertise out there, that you could benefit from, and it’s being offered to you, why not take it!? This is about helping your cause to become better known amongst your target audiences.
Go on, make a wish.

We don’t yet know how many marketers will volunteer their time, so we can not guarantee being able to find someone to help every charity that completes the form. But we’ll give it our best! Here’s hoping we can make your Christmas wishes come true.

Marketers

If you are a marketer, and you want to give something back this Christmas time, please complete the ‘Give a gift’ form. We’ll ask you who you are, how to contact you, what your expertise is, what your level of experience is, and how much time you’re willing to give. You can offer an hour, a day, a week or a month of your time.

We’ll then match your skillset to a charity in need. We’ll get in touch to introduce you to the charity we’ve matched you with, then we’ll leave you and your designated charity to arrange a suitable time for you to help them. You should aim to find a time that suits both parties at some point during 2024.

Why should you help?

“There are so many small charities that just don’t have the funds to get themselves known. Giving a little time can make so much difference.”

Research from The Charity Commission reveals that over 90% of charities were impacted by the pandemic. 60% of charities experienced a loss of income. And a third of charities have experienced a shortage of volunteers. Nearly half of all charities have had to adapt the way they deliver their services to their beneficiaries, which has included making better use of digital technology. This has required a steep learning curve, with more than 40% of charities having to dip into their reserves to stay afloat.

The cost of living crisis, is creating a cost of giving crisis. Whilst charities adapt to our changing world, how they communicate with those they exist to serve, has never been more important. If you have a marketing and communications skillset, you may be able to provide the expertise that helps a charity navigate how to communicate their purpose in uncertain times.

And, you know, it’s Christmas.

Ready to get involved? Complete the Give a Gift form. Thank you!
